DAY 1 SATURDAY, MARCH 30, 2024 DEPARTURE
Departure from the USA with an overnight flight to Rome via Dublin. AER LINGUS flight EI#104 leaves from JFK at 5:00 PM from terminal 7
DAY 2 SUNDAY, MARCH 31, 2024 ROME (D)
Arrival Dublin at 4:25 AM. Connect flight EI # 402 leaves Dublin at 6:20 AM and arrives. Rome at 10:25 AM Assistance at the airport: Meet you guide / tour escort who will be with you each day from 8 AM till 7:00 PM for the entire trip. You will receive the whispers and the metrebus card to be used for visiting museums and travel by public transportation in Rome. Check-in at the monastery “Suore Salesiane Dei Sacri Cuori” for 6 nights (City tax has to be paid locally directly to the monastery).
The monastery is ideally located near the Colosseum with great facilities, modern and warm hospitality. A fantastic stay close to the heart of historic Rome. Well located to all the sites of central Rome, near the Colosseum and Piazza Venezia. This guest house has been in operation since the early 1900's. In 2011, the house was completely renovated.

● It does have a metro station 5 min walk (Line A)
● The Termini station is a 20 min walk.
In the afternoon we will visit two of the main churches in Rome which are walking distance from where we stay. First Santa Maria Maggiore, the Major papal basilica and the largest Catholic Marian church in Rome. Then we’ll go to Saint John Lateran, Major Papal, Patriarchal and Roman Archbasilica Cathedral of the Most Holy Savior and Saints John the Baptist and the Evangelist in Lateran, Mother and Head of All Churches in Rome and in the World. In the evening enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.
DAY 3 MONDAY, APRIL 1, 2024 ROME (B, D)
Your guide will meet you at the hotel. Use your metrebus card to go to the Vatican. Do not forget your whispers, they are compulsory for this visit. Today is consecrated to the Vatican City: visit the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and Saint Peter’s Basilica and Castel Sant'Angelo. Free time for lunch and shopping in the Vatican area. In the afternoon: walk around and visit the area of Trastevere The group will have diner at a local restaurant.
DAY 4 TUESDAY, APRIL 2, 2024 ROME (B, D)
Your guide will meet you at the hotel. Use your metrebus card to take public transportation. Full day sightseeing: Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill on a guided tour. Walk in the footsteps of gladiators and emperors. Time for lunch and Gelato (on your own) Proceed to visit the Catacombs in the afternoon. The group will have diner at a local restaurant
DAY 5 WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3, 2024 ROME (B, L, D)
Your guide will meet you at the hotel. Use your metrebus card to take public transportation. Explore the old town: Piazza Navona, Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, the Pantheon Piazza del Popolo: see some paintings of the famous artist Caravaggio in the church of Santa Maria Del Popolo (open daily 8:30–9:45 AM, 10:30 AM–12:15 PM, 4–6 PM) The group will take a cooking class (Pizza making) and have their Pizza for lunch. Free time in the afternoon for shopping The group will have diner at a local restaurant.
DAY 6 THURSDAY, APRIL 4, 2024 ROME (B, D)
Your guide will meet you at the hotel. Today, enjoy a full day excursion by coach to Naples and Pompeii Upon arrival, there will be an orientation tour of Naples. Visit the Archeological Museum. Continue to Pompeii and visit the ruins at the foot of Mount Vesuvius Return to Rome in the afternoon. The group will have diner at a local restaurant.
DAY 7 FRIDAY, APRIL 5, 2024 ROME
Your guide will meet you at the hotel. Use your metrebus card to take public transportation. Visit the market at the Campo dei Fiori. Experience the Roman specialties and do in Rome what Romans do. Get what you need for a picnic in the Gardens of the Villa Borghese. Spend the afternoon visiting the Gallery of the Villa Borghese. Free time in the gardens. The group will have a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
DAY 8 SATURDAY, APRIL 6, 2024 RETURN (B)
Transfer by coach to Fiumicino airport for your return flight to the USA Transfer by coach to Fiumicino airport. Aer Lingus flight EI# 403 leaves at 11:10 AM and arrives Dublin at 1:30 PM; connecting flight EI#107 leaves Dublin at 4:45 PM and arrives JFK at 7:20PM

Payment Schedule Based on the cost of the trip for sharing a triple/quad room @ $3,275, there will be 5 payments.
Each payment will be as follows and should be received no later than the indicated deadline.
Cancellations: All changes and cancellations must be provided in writing. The following penalties apply with the number of days prior to departure:

- 1st payment of $375.00 is due by October 16, 2023 (this is a non-refundable deposit due upon registration)
- 2nd payment of $725.00 is due by November 20, 2023
- 3rd payment of $725.00 is due by December 20, 2023
- 4th payment of $725.00 is due by January 31, 2024
- 5th payment of $725.00 is due by March 8, 2024
Cancellations: All changes and cancellations must be provided in writing. The following penalties apply with the number of days prior to departure:
- $375 non-refundable processing fee after registration
- $350 + processing fee of $150: Total $500 penalty – if cancellation is received between December 29, 2023- January 26, 2024
- $725 if cancellation is received between January 27, 2024 – February 9, 2024
- 50% of the total trip cost between February 10, 2024 – February 26, 2024
- 100% of the total trip cost after February 26, 2024 or in case of no-show
IMPORTANT NOTE REGUARDING TRAVEL INSURANCE: Above you will find a link/quote for Allianz (Travel Insurance Link) under this policy of "Cancel at any time". For travelers under 30 yrs of age the price is $185. The only exception is if they travel with a parent, then the student does not pay (as long as they are less than 17 yrs old) only the adult pays. Any student under the age of 17 traveling alone should purchase this insurance so they may "Cancel at any time". IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT ALL QUALIFYING TRAVELERS PURCHASE THIS "Cancel at any time" TRAVEL INSURANCE! This "Cancel at any time" insurance is not included as part of the 2024 Rome trip package and is a supplemental in the event unforeseen circumstances should arise which would would not allow you to attend the trip.
