Multimedia, Art, and Digital Design has a long standing tradition.
While its predecessor industries such as graphic design, illustration, and
physical model making may be antiquated in their old output results, their
processes remain sound and relevant. It is important and essential to note that
all of the traditional methods of the creative design and picture making
process are still and always will be and essential part of the training regardless
of any technology utilized. Computers, programs, and film are all just new
mediums for the artist to work with much like canvas, paints, and clay. The
core traditional creative skills must be enforced, integrated, and applied to
the new mediums for the technologies to be used effectively and to their
fullest potential by the creative individual.
