Multimedia, Art, & Digital Design senior’s concept for the 2016 MCVTS Tech Expo Project was Recycle – Reinvent – Repurpose. Found in the trash, the broken shell of an old grandfather clock was transformed in to an amazing fully functional pirate themed aquarium. A concept that has never been done before, our seniors were inspired by the paintings of the great American artist N.C. Wyeth and the television show Tanked on the Animal Planet Network. Our students mastered skills from many diverse disciplines to create a truly unique and fully functional industrial design work of art. RESEARCH, ART HISTORY, BUDGETING, PROJECT MANAGEMENT, SAFETY, REVERSE ENGEENIRING, INDUSTRURAL DESIGN, GRAPHIC DESIGN, GEOMETRY, CARPENTERY, PAINTING/FAUX FINISHING, ELECTRICAL, PRINTING, and PRESENTATION were all skills incorporated to bring our idea from sketches to reality.
